2025 THEME: OUR OLYMPIC CULTURE
CALLING ALL ENTERTAINERS AND ARTISTS!
We’re thrilled to announce the theme for the 2025 King William Fair Parade: "Our Olympic Culture!" Inspired by the spirit of the 2024 Summer Olympics, this year’s parade will celebrate the rich cultural diversity that shapes San Antonio. Just as the Olympic Games unite nations, our parade will showcase the many traditions and backgrounds that contribute to our vibrant community.
This isn’t just a celebration of sports—it’s a celebration of unity, culture, and the incredible blend of influences that make our city and country so unique. Whether you’re inspired by the idea of community, cultural heritage, or teamwork, we invite you to be part of this special event!

Whether it’s through art, music, or costume, there’s a place for everyone in this celebration of diversity and togetherness.
To increase the chances of your application being accepted, keep in mind the Parade committee is looking for "wow factor," the ability to follow the Parade's theme, and relationship to the King William neighborhood and or surrounding neighborhoods.
Please take your time to describe your entry, this will be a judging factor.

PARADE DETAILS
The King William Fair officially begins when the Parade steps off at 9:00 am.
The King William Fair Parade is scheduled for May 3, 2025. Parade lineup begins at 6 a.m. and steps off promptly at 9 a.m.
Parade entry fee is $150. All applicants pay a $25 nonrefundable application fee. Neighborhood residents (King William and Lavaca) Parade entry fees are $75. Non-profit organization fees are $100, and require proof of 501(c)(3) status.
Thanks to the King William Fair proceeds, which includes Parade entry fees, the King William Association has donated close to $800,000 in grants and scholarships since 2001.

Please review the following documents and information below before submitting your application. Submitting an application confirms acceptance of all parade policies.
PARADE route
Beginning on E. Guenther at Eagleland, the Parade travels through the Fair Zone, and ends on Adams at Eagleland.
The Parade route is 1.5 miles long and lasts approximately 90 minutes
Viewing is available along the total length of the Parade route. Viewing within the Fair Zone requires admission to the Fair.
Free viewing located on Adams Street in between Pereida and Eagleland Dr. and on E. Guenther Street in between S. Alamo & Eagleland Dr.

WRANGLE ON, SUE!
Wrangle On, Sue! The King William Fair honors Sue Duffy, who was Chief Parade Wrangler from 2007 until her death in 2017. Although Sue did not live in the neighborhood, she devoted countless hours to curating and cultivating the parade into a city-wide favorite. Sue was also a former Fair performer (Irish dance), and loved spending time in the ‘hood
