The
King William Neighborhood is a quiet enclave just south of downtown San Antonio. After the Civil War, many prosperous German families built sturdy mansions and created what is today a handsome Victorian museum of homes. One after another, these stately houses have been restored.
Each year on the final Saturday of Fiesta Week, the neighborhood holds its own fair. The King William Association devotes the proceeds to the preservation of the historic neighborhood, education, and the arts.
